First of all, before I get started with my experience, let me share a bit about what is TalentSprint Women Engineers Program .

Women Techmakers Engineering Fellowship

WE TalentSprint Women Engineers Program

WE program is formerly known as Women Techmakers Engineering Fellow. WE, offered by TalentSprint and supported by Google, seeks to balance this gender disparity. This two-year experiential, interactive online program selects, trains, and nurtures capable first-year women engineering students to reach their true potential as world-class software engineers.

The application for the WE program opens around March. This year it is a paid program, Program Fee ₹300,000. In this cohort, 500 students got selected for this program. The top 50 students received 100% scholarships, another 200 students received 50% scholarships, and the rest received 25% scholarships.

( I was in the top 200 students )

What is the ELIGIBILITY?

Women students who aspire to build a successful tech career and contribute to shaping the world’s future.

  • Women students currently in the first year of engineering
  • Degrees: B.E., B.Tech
  • Streams: IT, CS, EEE, ECE, or equivalent
  • Grade: Over 70% in both X and XII

Application Process

Application Process

The application process consists of 4 stages, and after clearing all of these assessments, you will get selected for this program. So let’s talk about these strategies and stages.

Stage 1: Online Application

In this stage, you will have to fill in the basic information about yourself, your background, and academics. After submitting this application, you will receive a mail regarding your eligibility for this program.

Stage 2: Aptitude test

After getting eligible for this program, you will have to appear for the 60-minutes online aptitude test. It includes two topics, Quantitative and analytical reasoning. After clearing this test, you will receive a mail regarding that you have cleared the aptitude test and for the following assessment.

To be honest, it wasn’t as tough as it sounds. Practice some questions online as there are tons of resources available for practice, and just go through the type of questions in each category, and you are good to go.

Try to give at least one mock aptitude test online, which has a time limit, so that you will be aware of your weak points.

Stage 3: English Test

After clearing the aptitude test, you will have to appear for 60 minutes versant English test. It consists of basic English and grammar.

You can go through a youtube video to make yourself aware of the pattern of the exam.

I believe it was a basic English test. You do not have to prepare much about it but still, if you want to practice, just revise your basic English. This round is mainly to test your language skills.

Stage 4: Coding Round

After clearing the English test, you will appear for the Coding round. I believe it is the most crucial round in the selection process. You will be given two weeks to learn any programming language(C++, Java, Python) for this round. They will also provide master classes for solving problems and offer assessments to practice. After the learning period of two weeks, you will appear for 3 hours coding round consisting of 2 MCQs and three programming questions.

To prepare for the coding test, I suggest you do all the practice assignments and attend the masterclasses. Still, if you want, you can practice from the coding bat, Hacerrank, Codechef, etc. You can use any programming language (preferable Java, C++, Python).

Results

After successfully clearing the above stages, you will be notified about your selection and seat confirmation via mail.

Eureka! You are selected for the WE Program!!

I hope this blog helps you prepare for the next cohort; if you have any queries regarding this, feel free to reach out to me on LinkedIn.

All the best!!!

All the best !! In the end, I would like to say, It’s just the start of your amazing journey, give your best and learn in the process, there’s a lot coming!!!
